Rhythm Games

On this page, I am going to list some of my favorite rhythm games and song maps to play :3 I don't really play with the goal of becoming skilled at them, I just play for fun. I prefer maps that are visually/mechanically interesting or are simple + fast + fun to play. I also like ones that are slower but more complex, where you can feel it stretching your mental ability to keep track of all the notes on screen. I dislike rhythm games that rely a lot on reaction speed by having the notes appear on screen too quickly.

I play on this site occasionally. It uses user-submitted maps, so the quality of a song's beatmap can be hit-or-miss. The songs listed below aren't necessarily difficult, just fun to play.

I rarely play this one. Although I love the artstyle of the game and the music, it lost me with week 7 and onwards--the visual format of the game only shows you a small number of notes onscreen at a time, which means that when the songs increase in speed, it becomes less of a rhythm game and more of a "how fast can you see, acknowledge, and respond to the notes" game. My skills do not lie in that direction. Plus, when you take the songs and transfer them to rhythm+ while being accurate to the original notes, the game becomes ridiculously easy because you can actually see in advance and have time to react properly :(

I used to play this game on steam, never do anymore, though :/
